The Trip Continues

We are thrilled to celebrate our decades-long relationship with the Grateful Dead with a Limited Edition RS150 Wireless Loudspeaker. The RS150 features iconic artwork from the Grateful Dead on the glass face plate, in addition to the signature McIntosh logo and digital watt meter. The launch of this special edition RS150 coincides with Dead & Company's The Final Tour in 2023.

The RS150 is an easy-to-use wireless speaker. While relatively compact, the RS150 delivers the powerful and clear sound performance that McIntosh is known for. It is a stand-alone, complete system that connects seamlessly with all major streaming platforms.

Power

The RS150 combines high output and low distortion thanks to thanks to expertly designed drivers. Its 5-¼" woofer receives 90 watts of power for deep base extension, while the ¾" titanium dome tweeter provides clear and smooth high frequency sound with 30 watts of power.

Connectivity

The RS150 connects to your home network via WiFi or Ethernet. Once set-up, vast connectivity options are available, including Spotify^® Connect, TIDAL^® Connect (including TIDAL HiFi Lossless Quality playback), Apple^® AirPlay^® 2, Bluetooth^® 5.0 with support for both the high bitrate Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) standard as well as Qualcomm^® aptX^™ HD for hi res audio playback, and Chromecast, letting you easily stream to the RS150 from your smart devices. RS150 is also a Roon Ready endpoint device and is certified by Roon Labs to provide the highest level of quality and performance in network streaming. The RS150 is Google Assistant compatible for voice control.¹

Design

The RS150 features an illuminated digital output meter. Exclusive to the RS150 and RS250, this meter is more than just a simple LED indicator. The fast-responding meter uses the same trusted circuits found in our analog meters to collect and process the audio signals; it then digitizes the results and outputs them into a pulsating, gradated bar that shares the curved shape of our iconic analog meters. The RS150 features a classic McIntosh glass front panel. Above the glass, the speaker grille is easily removable to exposure the woofer and tweeter if desired.
